Penten’s purpose is to deliver new cyber and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to digitally transform defence and government agencies. Penten creates technology to make sense of, make mobile and protect vulnerable data to realise digital advantage over modern adversaries.

The company has actively contributed to challenging the difficult problems facing Defence and National Security agencies with a clear focus on the creation of sovereign advantage for Australia. While the business is only five years old, the team has grown to 90+ personnel, including 30% veteran, with 95% retention since founding. 2018/19 turnover was $13.5 million and expected turnover for 2019/20 is $19.5 million. 

Penten is a recognised technology innovator, with mature intellectual property management processes and proven commercialisation success. Penten develops and commercialises products in its own right, such as the AltoCrypt suite of products, and works with partners (including the Commonwealth) to develop and commercialise products. Our approach to delivery increases the capacity of Australian Industry, rather than merely re-distributing existing skills and resources between companies.
